CMX2: Pricing
Overview
Unless bespoke development is required, there is usually no setup fee for CMX2. You are simply charged for the features you use.
Please note that all the prices below are for the use of CMX2, and do not include the cost of sending a bulk SMS, or an MMS.
Reseller Account Charge
This charge applies to each CMX2 account which a client creates for the purpose of granting access to CMX2 functionality to a third party, such as one of their own customers. With the exception of accounts whose sole capability is the retrieval of statistics reports, every account which is available for use by persons outside of the client company in a given month incurs this charge.
Multimedia Content Delivery Charge
This charge applies whenever delivery of content to an end user is initiated. Content includes but is not limited to downloadable images, audio, video and application files which constitute the value proposition of the service being offered. Sample content served by CMX2 (thumbnail-sized images, shortened audio/video samples, etc) does not incur this charge.
The charge applies whenever access to the content was granted, irrespective of whether the end user utilised it. Where WAP Push (or an SMS with an included URL) is used to actually initiate the Multimedia Content Delivery, there is no extra "MT SMS Charge" for these. (Any applicable "non-CMX2" bulk SMS/MMS charges are separate to these CMX2 charges).
Triggered MT SMS Message Charge
Every time a mobile terminated (MT) SMS message is triggered (including WAP Push messages), a 0.01 USD charge applies. This includes both Premium and Bulk SMS messages.
This charge applies to every mobile terminated (MT) SMS that is sent to an end user from CMX2 except for the following:- Messages which incur a Multimedia Content Delivery Charge or Portal User Session Charge as defined as above (e.g. WAP Pushes linking to content);
- Text Messages sent manually using the Broadcast tool (e.g. Marketing messages, news alerts).
Portal User Session Charge
In much the same way as the Multimedia Content Delivery Charge applies when access to content is provided, so the Portal User Session Charge applies when access to WAP/Web sites using the Portal Publishing component is provided to a user, whether or not the end user utilised this access. The charge applies whenever access to a published site is granted, including when an SMS or WAP Push containing a URL is sent, or when a user accesses an advertised URL (such as wap.yoursite.com) which points to CMX2.
The charge only applies once per session, irrespective of the number of pages viewed by the user (unless Page Impression Charges apply under the terms below). Where WAP Push (or an SMS with a URL) is used to initiate the Portal User Session, there is no extra "MT SMS Charge" for these (any applicable bulk SMS/MMS charges are separate to these CMX2 charges).
Page Impression Charge
This charge applies every time an end user accesses a WAP/XHTML/cHTML/web/etc page generated by the Portal Publishing component, including any pages involved in the content delivery process.
* This charge will only be levied when the ratio of Page Impression events to Multimedia Content Delivery events exceeds 20:1.
Branding Charge
This charge applies when customising the "look and feel" of the CMX2 user interface to better match a client's branding. The customisations possible are:
- Replace the "CMX2" and "MX Telecom" logos at the top of every page with images supplied by the customer;
- Change the main colours used throughout for text, headings and tables;
- Make CMX2 accessible from an Internet domain belonging to the customer (eg. cmx2.theirsite.com) (note that this will require some technical configuration work to be carried out by the customer or their hosting provider).
This is a one-off charge applied after customised branding has been completed.
