Premium Rate Numbers
Overview
Premium rate number services generate revenue from the overall charge to customers, which is shared between the network operator and the content provider. Customers pay for premium rate calls via a telephone bill in the normal way, but are usually unable to call these numbers from most mobile phones in the UK. (This is not the case with Voice Short Codes, which can only be accessed from mobile phones).
Premium rate numbers are available in the UK and several other countries. Irrespective of whichever country the calls originate in, they can be terminated at the MX Telecom IVR System.
Premium Rate Tariffs and Revenue
The revenue share rates below are inclusive of all IVR handling charges associated with using the MX Telecom IVR Service:

UK Premium Rate Numbering
UK Premium Rate Numbers are 10 Digits long, and start with the Prefix 09. For full number allocation details, please see the table below:

Account Setup
When setting up a Premium Rate Number in conjunction with an IVR Service, MX Telecom suggests sending the full details of the proposed service, including a call flow script, before recording any audio files. MX Telecom can recommend audio recording companies if required.
At any time these voice prompts can be uploaded to the MX Telecom IVR system via the Internet using a fully web-based interface. This can also be used to regularly update the content for a particular IVR Service.
The service charge is 100 GBP per month. Depending on the complexity of the service, a set up fee may apply. Lead times are usually 5 - 10 working days.
The MX Telecom IVR System also includes access to a full live online billing system that displays information on system usage statistics.
