Do UK short codes work internationally? [29]

Users who subscribe to any UK network can send messages into a UK based short code from almost anywhere in the world. For UK users who are roaming abroad, the only restriction is that there is an agreement between the foreign network and the UK network to pass on SMS.

Users who subscribe to networks not based in the UK cannot send SMS into UK based short codes. Any service wanting to receive SMS from subscribers on foreign networks should use a Virtual Mobile Number (a.k.a. long number).
