User-facing information
When your account is set up by MX Telecom, you will need to provide the following information to your account manager.
- Merchant trading name
- Customer service helpline number
- Website URL
- Terms and conditions
- Customer service email address
- Registered name of the merchant
- Registered address of the merchant
- URL for incoming notifications from the gateway
This information is used for display to the end user (except the notification URL).
Brands
The Charge To Account Gateway allows you to have multiple brands on your account. Each brand has its own set of user-facing information and can have its own notification URL.
This enables you to use a single Charge To Account Gateway account to process payments from multiple applications with their own identities, and ensure that the trusted WAP payment pages are customised correctly for each one.
Each brand linked to your account will have its own identifying value of the brand parameter.
You can specify a brand value in any one-off charge or subscription setup request you make (see the one-off charge and subscription API pages for details). If no value is specified, the default brand is used.
Note that the details needed to provision delivery information collection functionality, including delivery terms and conditions, are also configured on a per-brand basis.
To set up additional brands on your existing account, contact your account manager.
Effect on user experience
- The trading name you specify is used throughout the trusted WAP pages to identify the supplier of the product or service to the end user.
- The trading name and helpline number are used in SMS messages sent to the end user.
- The brand details are accessible through a Terms and Conditions link on the payment/subscription confirmation page.
The format of the Terms and Conditions page is shown below:
