CMX2: Subscriptions and Mailing Lists

Overview

For any enterprise that wants to sell content and services in the mobile world, it is essential to be able to keep track of your end users, as well as any associated metadata, such as user behaviour, subscriptions etc. Having this kind of information at your fingertips allows for a more strategic approach when interacting with your customers.

Subscription Management Example

Creation and grouping of lists of users and mobile numbers

CMX2 boasts advanced mailing lists and subscription support. Lists of mobile phone numbers (and therefore end users) can be created, and grouped in whatever way you choose. Being able to differentiate between users, by service, or by metadata, is thereby made simple.

User metadata

Metadata on users allows more sophisticated statistical analysis, personalised messaging services, and selection of a previously undefined group of users.

Automated recurring initiation of services

Services can be designed to deliver regular messages, such as a simple SMS, MMS or a WAP Push. This could be a daily content subscription, such as a weather report, horoscope, movie trailer clip, traffic notification, or other content.

One-off immediate or pre-scheduled alerts or services

Services can be scheduled for any time in the future, or instantly activated for an immediate effect. This gives complete flexibility for time-sensitive events (such as user interaction with television programs, etc.).

Simple bulk messaging interface for broadcasts (can be personalised)

Rather than having to design a bulk messaging service for a broadcast within the "Services" section, CMX2 provides a standalone bulk messaging interface. Mailing lists and user details can be pulled in, allowing for delivery of personalised messages in an instant.

User access permissions in services and publishing sections

User access permissions (whether they are mobile phone users, CMX2 account holders, or advertising promoters) are all implemented in the services and publishing sections of CMX2. Therefore account access control, user specific decisions, and VIP access to subscriptions and services are all managed in the same place.

Operator and regulator requirements support built in (reminders, etc)

CMX2 takes care of specific network operator and regulatory requirements, which greatly lessens the workload on your part. For example, when a user texts "STOP" to a premium service, the user will be unsubscribed instantly, rather than you having to include this in any services you have designed. Other examples include spending caps, initial subscription messages, monthly spend reminders, spend limit reminders, and help messages.
