Business Development Manager

Description of Role

We are looking for an exceptional Business Development Manager to proactively target and win new business. Rapidly acquiring an excellent knowledge of our products and technical solutions, the successful candidate will use this and their in-depth industry knowledge to identify key areas for business development, before managing the often highly technical sales cycles to secure new and lasting relationships with clients.

Working as part of a small and dynamic team, the Business Development Manager will be expected to set challenging personal objectives in-line with the company's strategic goals and be organised, innovative, and persistent in achieving them. Possessing outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, they will be the first point of contact for new clients, from developing leads through to representing the company at trade-shows and responding to incoming enquiries, at all times maintaining and building upon MX Telecom's industry leading reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities include:

  • Proactively targeting and winning new business
  • Acting as a first point of contact for sales enquiries
  • Representing the company at external shows and events
  • Managing long and often highly technical sales cycles through to completion
  • Helping to develop new market opportunities for MX Telecom based on in-depth industry knowledge

Experience and Skills Required

The successful candidate will have 1-3 years experience in a technical sales environment, ideally within the Telecoms industry, with a track record of successful business development and a desire to progress and excel within a growing company.

They will be highly motivated and able to act on their own initiative, whilst working as part of a close-knit commercial team, and be comfortable working in all business environments, from dealing with multi-national companies through to emerging enterprises.

As an initial contact point for MX Telecom, first-class communication skills, both written and verbal, alongside a high level of attention to detail are essential to create a first impression to match our reputation.

Operating in a highly technical company and a fast-moving industry, an aptitude and enthusiasm for understanding complex technical systems and their application is essential.

Location: Chiswick, West London
Salary: £25,000 – £35,000
+ Bonus + Share Options + Medical
